Roman deities were generally adapted from the Greek pantheon and represent similar ideals,
though in most cases, the Roman versions held less spiritual meaning.
Terra Mater
The primal Roman Goddess was Terra Mater, literally 'Earth Mother'. Like her Greek counterpart, Gaia,
she was a fertility goddess closely associated with the land & nature.
