and moon goddess Coyolxauhqui.
The last item is a stone stele (sculpted pillar) from Ecuador. Note the pose of this figure, which is identical to the
Sheela-na-gigs
of Europe,
Lajia Gauris
of India, and others featured in this archive. This pose, also seen in the first gallery image,
was a globally recognized sign of the Goddess.
