Early Hebrew Goddess Art
This gallery features clay sculptures of Asherah, held by many early Hebrews to be the wife of Yahweh.
This early Judaic Goddess worship was a hold-over of the ancient ways in the Middle East,
in which the Goddess was honored alongside God. Many natives of the land clung to this tradition,
in spite of the Biblical crusades against them. Read more about this Old Testament era in the
Sacred Sex Tradition Forum in our Learning Center.
