Male Fertility Art of Ancient Rome
The next two galleries feature male fertility charms.
Like the Greek veneration of fertility god Priapus, these charms aim at increasing virility by bringing attention to
sexuality. By inspiring arousing thought & desire,
the charms elevate hormonal production and contribute to healthy sperm levels.
The charms featured in this gallery have added significance due to their use in Roman politics and religion.
The first is the Imperial Seal of Claudius & Messalina. The second is an early Christian phallic cross.
